Being the child of immigrant parents I find this extrmemly frustrating (My father coming here illegally by a boat and my mother walking the U.S - Canadian border). We can see an endless cycle of violence and exploitation towards these poor people trying to pass to the United States for a better future in result the government treating them regardless of their gender and age as the worst criminals. By militarizing the borders and maximizing the difficulties and security to enter the United States, gave more power to the Coyotes (human smugglers) due to the fact that they remain the sole and most powerfull source of passing immigrants through the border.
